So happy about the collective paintings made by the children during the Children Village. Those paintings will be for orphanages in Senegal, Africa in 2013. One more to do next month at the Fundraising Night for Africa in March 31th. Let me know if you would like to hear more about it. Visit www.yaakaar.ca about the school project.
![]() When I started to paint last week, I didn't know what I was doing. I had nothing in mind like usual. I just painted and went with the flow of the movement. It didn't take that long that I saw something in my painting. I saw a music note shape, and it brought me back 12 years ago when one of my biggest dream was to sing. At that period of my life I wanted to sing and make a career with it. I had a song coach and I and I was performing once in a while less than I was expected. I was a gospel choir member and I liked it. I was needed to express myself but I couldn't find the support through the musical career that I was looking for. I didn't believe in myself enough to decide to do it no matter what. I decided to gave up on my dream because I wasn't able to keep pushing to make this dream come through. Not so long after that period, I started to paint and discovered that I could express myself in different way. Thanks God that there are many ways to express our creativity. When I am thinking about my desire to become a singer, I realized that I was in a BIG BOX. I was stocked in a narrow mind set that didn't give me many options in life. I am very happy that I got 'Out of the Box' at that time of my life . That allowed me to be who I am today. I will never stop to dream again. It's not because I didn't succeed with my dream at that time that I will never succeed with other dreams. Bless you, |
