Innocent Blood - Original Painting 2021

I created this painting recently during the National Day of Prayer online, in memory of all those who lost their lives in the Canadian history such as; the Women First Nation, their children and for all babies in their mother’s womb.

The RED colour represents the innocent blood, and the GOLD colour represents healing.

I chose to paint on a round wood cradled board as the resemblance of a drum. In this case the purpose is to create a new sound; to release a sound of hope and healing for those who are suffering the loss of a sister, a mother, a baby, an aunt, a grandmother and more.

As we celebrate Easter, it is a time to remember the death of Jesus, and even more his Resurrection and the hope that He represents for a world in desperate need of love.

He gave his blood; innocent blood, and his life for you and me to be healed, loved, and transformed.

May you and your family experience love in a deeper way and find comfort, despite the distance between you and your loved ones.
