BIO

Christine Cloutier, a French native of Quebec's Gaspe Peninsula, has lived in Kelowna since 2003.

She considers herself a spiritual and committed artist who enjoys partnering with God’s Spirit to express her innermost feelings.

She practices painting in the now, letting God's Spirit guidance shape her artistic expression and unleash the emotions within, drawing her creative inspiration in harmony with her Master.

This abstract artist is a dedicated and passionate woman in all that she does; she is an artist who is not afraid to mix art and life and to face the challenges that come with it. Her desire to bring people together, either through painting workshops or organized collective painting projects, often takes her beyond the walls of her Art Studio.

She enjoys providing art lovers with unique experiences through live painting at public and private events such as the launch of the Rendez-vous de la francophonie 2016 in Kelowna, the Culture Day at CCFO, and most recently at the women's conferences FINDING YOUR VOICE in Prince Albert, SK and in Rose Prairie, BC. She also participated in the Kelowna Art Battle 2019 and the online Art Battle 2020 online, and at the annual art event Lake Country ARTWALK in 2021 and 2023.

Christine Cloutier’s Painting

Christine Cloutier has taken part in group shows and art projects such as 'La Route des Arts' and 'Artistic discoveries' with fifteen other French artists from British Columbia. The CCAFCB (French Artistic Council of BC) commissioned these initiatives to enhance public awareness of the artists' work and engage the community to participate in artistic events.

She has participated in a few collective paintings, including the first collective painting of the 'Days of Culture,' CCFO (French Cultural Centre), the 150th Mural of Canada Art Project, and the Interior Health Collective Paintings in Kelowna.

Christine Cloutier's latest art exhibition was showed at the French Cultural Center in Kelowna in August 2021, and at the Kelowna Library during the Culture Month in October 2021.

Painting Workshops

Christine was inspired to create her first painting workshops, 'Outside the Box / Au-delà des limites', by her passion and desire to make a difference in people's lives. Those personal development workshops use group painting in the journey to a closer relationship between fathers and sons, mothers and daughters and provide tools and shared experiences to help them live to the fullest.

Her most recent painting workshop, titled 'I Have a Dream,' was offered to French and French immersion schools students.

She has led a few painting workshops for women at the Karis Society in Kelowna, BC, as part of the Dream Project.
